Why cargo shorts?

My last outfit post was all about dresses and don’t get me wrong: I love dresses this summer! But as I wear them every working day at the office I needed some variation last weekend. We were in Frankfurt and for a city stroll cargo shorts are perfect. They are airy, because of the wider legs, practical because of the pockets and stylish enough with sandals, a black silk top and my beloved Chloé Mily bag.

These shorts are from an actual collection, and yes: I bought them before my no-shopping-experiment begun, I promise! Below there are a few alternatives for you, because I don’t want to condemn all shopping.

Cargo shorts can easily be up- or downgraded as you like it:

with a light silk blouse and open toe sandals they`re classy
with sneakers and t-shirt super casual for a shopping day
with high heeled booties, cami and cardigan you are super stlish for a lunch date

Important: always size up to make sure the fit is comfy and not too tight at your legs!

Warum Cargo shorts?

Mein letzter Outfitpost handelte nur von Kleidern und versteht mich jetzt nicht falsch: ich liebe Kleider diesen Sommer! Aber da ich sie jeden Arbeitstag im Büro trage brauchte ich mal eine Abwechslung letztes Wochenende. Wir waren in Frankfurt und um durch die Stadt zu schlendern sind Cargo Shorts einfach perfekt: sie sind luftig wegen der weiter geschnittenen Hosenbeine, praktisch, weil sie Taschen haben und trotzdem stylish genug mit Römersandalen, einem schwarzen Seidentop und meiner geliebten Chloé Mily Tasche.

Diese Shorts sind aus einer aktuellen Kollektion und ja: ich habe sie noch vor meinem No-Shopping_Experiment gekauft, ehrlich! Oben habe ich für euch einige Alternativen herausgesucht, weil ich ja prinzipiell Shopping nicht verdammen will.

Cargo Shorts kann man super einfach up- und downgraden, je nach Lust und Laune:

mit einer hellen Seidenbluse und hohen, offenen Sandalen werden sie ausgehtauglich
mit Sneakers und T-Shirt ganz lässig kombiniert für Shopping und Co.
mit hohen Stiefeletten, Top und Cardigan super stylish zum Lunchdate

Wichtig: immer etwas größer kaufen, damit die Shorts auch wirklich lässig sind und nicht zu eng am Bein sitzen!
