Down jackets and Moonboots against the cold

Down jackets

Down jackets are often considered as ungraceful and bulky. But that´s not true, not always. I found this tailored down jacket during a holiday in the Swiss Alps and it is my favorite jacket when it is cold, but I don’t want to hide myself in my biggest coat. You can wear down jackets like this one with leather leggings or denims and high heels as well as with ski apparel. But sometimes, like yesterday when we shot the pictures it is really cold outside. Therefore I wore a second down jacket under my blue Moncler one. This second layer is pretty thin, but gives the extra of warmth that was needed badly.

…and Moonboots

The first time I remember seeing Moonboots was in my childhood. They were so special and different from all other shoes and boots, but I loved them. Therefore I’m glad about this revival. Because Moonboots keep my feet warm, even at -15 degrees Celsius and I can walk miles  in them. Literally! Ok, you won’t win the price of the most balletic or graceful shoes with them. But you an easily style them with a sporty jacket and you’re ready. Perfect for the holidays!

Down jackets

Daunenjacken gelten oft als unförmig und plump. Aber das ist nicht wahr, nicht immer jedenfalls. Ich habe diese taillierte Daunenjacke bei einem Urlaub in den Schweizer Alpen gefunden und sie ist meine liebste Jacke, wenn es kalt ist, ich aber nicht den dicksten Mantel anziehen will. Man kann Daunenjacken wie diese genauso gut mit Lederleggings oder Jeans und High Heels kombinieren wie mit Skisachen. Manchmal aber, so wie gestern, ist es wirklich kalt draussen. Also habe ich eine zweite, dünne Daunenjacke unter der Moncler Jacke getragen. Diese zweite Schicht ist ziemlich dünn, gibt aber das Extra an Wärme, das wirklich notwendig war.

Das erste Mal, das ich Moonboots gesehen habe war in meiner Kindheit. Sie waren so speziell und anders, als alle anderen Schuhe und Stiefel, aber ich habe sie sofort geliebt. Daher bin ich sehr froh über das Revival der Moonboots seit einiger Zeit. Weil Moonboots die Füße warm halten, selbst bei – 15 Grad Celsius und weil ich Kilometerweit darin laufen kann. Buchstäblich! Okay, man gewinnt vermutlich nicht den Preis für die graziösesten Schuhe mit ihnen. Aber man kann sie einfach zu einer sportlichen Jacke stylen und ist ruckzuck fertig. Perfekt für den Urlaub!
