Halterneck: the return of a good one

Halterneck? Yes, Halterneck! Did you guys notice the return of this special neckline? Everyone is talking about off-shoulder tops, dresses and Pullovers. The halterneck is a special off-the-shoulder neckline. Because it leaves your shoulders bare, but is high-necked at the same time.

It is a very sexy neckline, but more subtle than the sometimes huge off-shoulders. It can help reduce massive shoulders optically. But it is also merciless when have big arms. Not only easy to style, but worth the effort. 

Halterneck dress

My halterneck dress is almost vintage, because I bought it many years ago. But hardly ever wore it. When I was looking for my clothes to pack for Italy I found it again in the closet. Suddenly I remembered some photos in magazines in the last weeks. All of them had this special neckline. I put it on and it fits my body perfectly.

When we were in Florence I thought this would be the perfect moment for this dress and I felt very comfortable in it.  I combined it with my beloved Chloé Drew bag in black and  black Prada Wedges.

As this dress is no longer available I found alternatives for you, budget friendly and expensive ones. It´s your choice!

Halterneck? Ja, Halterneck, oder auch Neckholder genannt. Habt ihr die Rückkehr dieses speziellen Ausschnitts bemerkt? Jeder redet über off-shoulder Tops, Kleider oder Pullover. Der Haltereck ist ein spezieller schulterfreier Ausschnitt. Weil er die Schultern zwar frei lässt, gleichzeitig aber hochgeschlossen ist.

Es ist ein sexy Ausschnitt, aber subtiler als die manchmal riesigen schulterfreien Ausschnitte. Er kann sehr breite Schultern optisch etwas kaschieren. Aber er ist auch unbarmherzig bei etwas größeren Armen. Nicht ganz einfach zu stylen, aber er ist es wert.

Halterneck Kleid

Mein Halterneck Kleid ist schon fast Vintage. Ich habe es vor vielen Jahren gekauft, aber kaum je getragen. Als ich mir die Sachen für Italien herausgesucht habe tauchte es im Schrank auf. Plötzlich habe ich mich an die Fotos in Magazinen erinnert, die ich in der letzten Zeit gesehen hatte. Alle hatten diesen speziellen Ausschnitt. Ich habe es anprobiert und es passte perfekt.

Als wir dann in Florenz waren fand ich das die beste Gelegenheit es zu tragen und habe mich auch sehr wohl gefühlt darin. Ich habe das Kleid mit meiner geliebten Chloé Drew Tasche in schwarz kombiniert und schwarzen Prada Wedges.

Weil es dieses Kleid nicht mehr gibt habe ich euch Alternativen herausgesucht. Budgetfreundlich und teuer, es ist eure Wahl.
