Louboutins and a white skirt: lost in St. Vincent

I love strolling around through Italian cities, especially when they are old. Old cities in the south have those little paths between the houses where no car can drive through. I could get lost there, looking at the doors and flowers, the old pavement and many stairs.

The last two days we´ve been in Saint Vincent, a small village in the Aosta valley. This is situated in the north of Italy with the Alps as a beautiful background. On our way to the sea we wanted to stay here, because this time we want to take enough time. Time for traveling instead of rushing around. At Saint Vincent we found really cool wine bars, some good restaurants and of course a wonderful piazza. I love sitting there and watching people. Italian ladies have the most incredible shoes on earth I guess, no matter if they are comfortable or not…

My sandals are made by Louboutin and it was a quick end-of-sale catch before we left Germany. All I can say is: Louboutins don´t have to be high heels to be a beautiful shoe! They have the famous red sole, of course, but to be honest this doesn´t last for long! I walk in my shoes and so the red sole soon will be history. Anyway: best sandals ever! All you need in Italy is a light skirt, a shirt and a bag. Oh and not to forget: sunglasses! The bigger the better seems to be the motto, really cool. Tomorrow we will leave this place and I´m curious what´s coming up next.

Ich liebe es durch italienische Städtchen zu streifen, vor allem wenn sie alt sind. Alte Städte im Süden haben diese kleinen schmalen Gässchen zwischen den Häusern, wo kein Auto hinkommt. Ich könnte mich hier verlieren beim anschauen von Türen und Blumen, dem alten Pflaster und den vielen Treppen.

Die letzten beiden Tage haben wir in Saint Vincent verbracht, einem kleinen Ort im Aostatal. das liegt im Norden Italiens mit den Alpen als wunderschönem Hintergrund. Auf unserem Weg ans Meer wollten wir hier verweilen, denn diesmal wollten wir uns genug Zeit nehmen. Genug Zeit zum Reisen anstatt herum zu rasen. In Saint Vincent haben wir tolle Weinbars, einige gute Restaurants und natürlich eine Piazza gefunden. Ich liebe es dort zu sitzen und Leute zu gucken. Italienische Frauen haben wohl die unglaublichsten Schuhe auf der Welt, egal ob bequem oder nicht….

Meine Sandalen sind von Louboutin und es war ein schneller Ende-des-Sale Fang bevor wir Deutschland verlassen haben. Ich kann nur sagen: Louboutins müssen keine High-heels sein um wunderschöne Schuhe zu sein! Sie haben natürlich auch die berühmte rote Sohle, aber um ehrlich zu sein wird die wohl nicht lange halten. Ich laufe in meinen Schuhen, also wird die Sohle wohl bald Geschichte sein. Egal, es sind die besten Sandalen überhaupt! Alles, was man in Italien braucht ist ein leichter Rock, ein Shirt und eine Tasche. Oh, und natürlich eine Sonnenbrille. Je größer desto besser scheint das Motto zu sein, wirklich klasse. Morgen werden wir aufbrechen und ich bin schon gespannt was als nächstes kommt!
