Weekly Review #10

 

EN My weekly review #10 The last week was: fine. More or less. My working week was quite busy with the usual things to do, but on top we want to restructure our Centre and this means a lot to think about, to discuss and organize. As I didn´t won in the lottery I have to deal with it. But now to the nicer things: We visited my mother and her husband from Friday until Sunday and it was so good to see them again after 2 months.  On Saturday we went to Frankfurt City for shopping, strolling around, having lunch and visiting my man´s paradise: a big Music Store.

Reading Material of the week: Currently I´m reading 3 books and many magazines parallel, which is not as easy as I thought and as it was earlier in my life. Seems I´m getting old….. I read: How to be Parisian from 4 women, including Caroline de Maigret, #fashionblog, a book about a german fashion blogger and a book about walks in Paris (because we are going there in 12 days from now on!). On top I read InStyle, Vogue, Elle and Harpers Bazaar. How to be Parisian is quite funny and you can learn a lot about attitude. I like it so far!

DE Weekly Review #10: Die letzte Woche war schön, mehr oder weniger. Meine Arbeitswoche war ziemlich beschäftigt mit den üblichen Dingen und on Top strukturieren wir unsere Abteilung um, was bedeutet jede Menge zu überdenken, diskutieren und organisieren. Weil ich nicht im Lotto gewonnen habe muss ich damit klarkommen irgendwie. Aber jetzt zu den schöneren Dingen: wir haben meine Mutter und ihren Mann besucht von Freitag bis Sonntag in Frankfurt und es war so schön die beiden nach fast 2 Monaten noch mal zu sehen. Am Samstag sind wir in die Stadt gefahren zum Shopping, rumlaufen, Mittagessen und einem Besuch im Paradies meines Mannes: einem großen Musikgeschäft!

Lesestoff der Woche: Momentan lese ich 3 Bücher gleichzeitig und dazu noch jede Menge Magazine was nicht so einfach ist wie ich dachte und es früher mal war. Scheint so als werde ich alt… Ich lese: How to be Parisian von 4 Frauen, u.a. Caroline de Maigret; #fashionblog, das Buch einer deutschen erfolgreichen Bloggerin und ein Buch über Spaziergänge in Paris als Vorbereitung, weil wir in 12 Tagen dorthin fahren! Dazu lese ich noch InStyle, Vogue, Elle und Harpers Bazaar. How to be Parisian ist ziemlich lustig und man viel über Haltung (im Sinne von Attitüde) lernen. Ich mag es bis jetzt.

Catch of the week: my new Gucci Scarf, which I bought in Frankfurt. The guys at the Gucci boutique were so nice and everybody told me: „Ohhhh, you have such a beautiful bag“ because I decided to take the Dionysus bag with me. Good decision anyway! The scarf is a square, 1,30m each side, made of wool and silk and in taupe colors. It is so comfy, soft and beautiful, it was one items on my march wishlist and I simply could´t resist!

Fang der Woche: mein neues Gucci Tuch, welches ich in Frankfurt gekauft habe. Die leute im Gucci Store waren so nett und jeder sagte nur: Ohhh, was für eine tolle Tasche, weil ich mit der Dionysus unterwegs war. Auf jeden Fall eine gute Entscheidung mit einer Gucci Tasche zu Gucci zu gehen ;-). Das Tuch ist 1,30m im Quadrat aus Wolle und Seide und in Taupetönen. Es ist so komfortabel, weich und schön, es war eines der Dinge auf meiner Wishlist für März und ich konnte einfach nicht widerstehen.

Opinion of the week: I don´t mind if Restaurants are high expensive when you get a real experience and really outstanding food. But what I absolutely don´t like is when you say „we share the first course“ and you get a shared one for double the price! And I don´t like it when you say „We take one fish“ instead of two main courses and you get one fish for double the price. Hey we are talking about a normal Italian restaurant right in the middle of Frankfurt, we are not talking about a restaurant decorated with 3 Stars in the Guide Michelin! This was really annoying and the Limoncello liquor for free didn´t make this okay. If somebody wants to know the name of this restaurant I will tell you, but I won´t name it here! We will never go there again, sad but true.

Look of the week: definitely the leatherjacket with patches which I had shown you here and saturday´s outfit with suede trench and flare jeans. I love both: skinny and flare jeans and sometimes my boyfriend one, so maybe you like a mixture: trench with skinny jeans and the leatherjacket with flare jeans. I bet it looks great as well. I choose my outfits by hearing to my inner voice and looking what´s inside the closet. There´s more in it than you know, believe me!

Meinung der Woche: Ich habe keine Problem für Essengehen viel Geld auszugeben, wenn es ein wirkliches Erlebnis und sehr gutes Essen ist. Was ich jedoch überhaupt nicht mag ist, wenn man sagt, dass man die Vorspeise teilt und dann eine Vorspeise für den doppelten Preis bekommt. Ich mag auch nicht, wenn man einen Fisch zusammen bestellt statt 2 Hauptgerichten und dann den doppelten Preis für einen Fisch bezahlen soll. Hallo! Wir reden von einem normalen italienischen Restaurant und nicht einem Tempel, der mit 3 Michelin Sternen dekoriert ist! Das war wirklich ätzend und der Limoncello Schnaps auf´s Haus hat es auch nicht wieder gut gemacht. Wenn jemand den Namen des Restaurant wissen möchte teile ich ihn gerne mit, hier werde ich ihn nicht nennen. Wir werden jedenfalls nicht mehr dort hingehen, schade.

Look der Woche: definitiv die Lederjacke mit den Patches und das Samstagsoutfit mit Trenchcoat und Schlagjeans. Ich liebe beides: Skinny und Schlagjeans und manchmal auch die Boyfriend. Vielleicht mögt ihr lieber eine Mischung: den Trench mit der Skinny Jeans und die lederjacke mit der Schlaghose? Ich wette das sieht auch gut aus. Ich suche meine Outfits mit Hilfe meiner inneren Stimme aus und mit einem Blick in den Kleiderschrank. Da ist mehr drin als ihr euch erinnern könnt, glaubt mir!

Forecast: Preparing for the short easter holidays to Paris (yeah!) and cleaning up our balcony. I want to decorate the balcony with new flowers and plants, but first the old stuff has to move out! Sometimes I miss our garden we used have, but I also love sitting on the balcony in the evening sun after work or spending whole days on it reading, sleeping, eating. Wonderful!

Ausblick: Vorbereitungen für den Oster-Kurzurlaub in Paris (yeah!) stehen an und unseren Balkon aufräumen. Ich möchte den Balkon neu gestalten mit Blumen und Pflanzen, aber dafür muss erst das alte Zeug ausziehen. Manchmal vermisse ich schon den garten, den wir früher hatten, aber ich liebne es auch auf dem Balkon zu sitzen in der Abendsonne nach der Arbeit oder ganze Tage darauf zu verbringen mit lesen, schlafen und essen. Wunderbar!
