Weekly Review #21

My weekly review #21 will be a little bit longer, because I missed one weekly review. There is not always time for it and to be honest not always happened enough. As I have told you before a blogger´s life is not always glamorous and full of new adventures. Sometimes it is just work, eat, sleep, repeat… as in week 20. Last week I was ill with a bladder infection, not so nice! Therefore I couldn´t shoot outfits as much as I wanted to, but the black tunic had to be shown. Though I wasn´t sure if I wanted to show you that much legs. I´m always insecure about them or to be precise: insecure about the circumference of my thighs and lower legs…. but that´s a different story some day. On Thursday we had a national holiday and there was a kind of historical market in our small town, gosh, there were so many people, unbelievable! That was the first day I could walk a little bit outside and regretted it instantly, because of the masses. On Saturday we went to Düsseldorf, no, not for shopping (!!!), but for a Paul McCartney concert. It was incredibly fantastic. This man is almost 74 and fitter than many people who are much more younger! As I said before the Drew bag was my companion and did it´s job very well. Sadly I can´t say that about my Isabel Marant sandals. They are not so comfy at all!

Reading material of the week: Magazines and blogs as usual. I was ill, so I watched TV in the afternoons or I slept the whole day…. blame it on the bladder!

Opinion of the week: The quality and wearing comfort of incognizable expensive shoes are often NOT what I expected. If shoes cost some hundred Euros I expect something extraordinary. Oh I am such a stupid person that I expect so much for my money…. okay let´s keep the joking aside: the quality of my super amazing and super stunning Marant sandals is okay, but the comfort is inexistent. Neither are the studs comfortable nor the straps and I don´t mean they are too tight. No, that´s not the point! The decoration is gorgeous, but at the wrong place to wear these sandals all day long. I am an economist and I want to have a ROI (that means return on invest) in form of wearing the item and be happy with it for some time. The same with super small chain straps on handbags (yes I mean the Drew bag): this is not comfortable when you wear a top and put more than a lipstick in your bag. So please Mrs. and Mr. Designer: I adore your designs, but please improve the usability of your products!

Catch of the week:The above mentioned Isabel Marant sandals and my Drew bag by Chloé. And I ordered a kind of poncho-cardigan with tassels and sandals at Sarenza. Very nice both and to be shown in an outfit post this week hopefully (it is raining cats and dogs for 2 days now without interruption). Not to forget the Army Jacket by Vila (I ordered via Edited, it was sold out everywhere else).

Look of the week: I loved both: the black tunic and the outfit with my army jacket and the Gucci Dionysus I got so much lovely comments for. By the way: thank you all for your comments, that means really a lot to me!

Forecast:We are looking for some help in our household and that are my appointments for this week… And there will be a new cooperation, which I can´t tell you more about right now, but I´m really looking forward to it! On Friday will be another concert of a german band we are attending and Saturday is the meeting of my graduating class. I´m so super curious, because I haven´t seen most of these people for ages now and I´m a bit nervous (still don´t know what to wear!). I tell you about next time!

Mein Wochenrückblick #21 wird diesmal ein bisschen länger, weil der letzte ausgefallen ist. Es ist halt nicht immer Zeit dafür oder es nicht genug passiert. Wie ich euch an anderer Stelle schon einmal erzählt habe ist ein Bloggerleben nicht immer glamourös und abentuerlich. manchmal ist es nur arbeiten, essen, schlafen, wiederholen… so wie in Woche 20. Letzte Woche war ich dann krank mit einer Blasenentzündung, nicht so schön, deshalb konnte ich nicht so viele outfits fotografieren wie ich wollte. Die schwarze Tunika wollte aber gezeigt werden, obwohl ich nicht sicher war so viel Bein zu zeigen. Ich bin immer unsicher dabei oder, um präzise zu sein: unsicher über den Umfang meiner Ober- und Unterschenkel, aber das ist irgendwann eine andere Geschichte! Letzten Donnerstag war bei uns Feiertag und es gab einen historischen Markt in unserem Städtchen, da waren so viele Menschen, Wahnsinn! Das war auch der erste Tag an dem ich raus konnte, um ein bisschen spazieren zu gehen, habe es aber direkt bereut wegen der Menschenmassen. Am Samstag waren wir dann in Düsseldorf, nein nicht zum shoppen (!!!), sondern auf einem Konzert von Paul McCartney. Es war wirklich unglaublich fantastisch. Der Mann ist mit fast 74 fitter als viele sehr viel jüngere Menschen. Wie ich schon angekündigt hatte, hat mich die Drew bag begleitet und ihren Job gut gemacht. Traurigerweise kann ich das von den Isabel Marant Sandalen nicht sagen, sie sind nicht so bequem!

Lesestoff der Woche: Magazine und Blogs wie immer. Ich war krank, habe also auch viel Fernsehen geguckt am Nachmittag oder fast den ganzen Tag geschlafen…ich kann das auf die Blase schieben!

Meine Meinung der Woche:Die Qualität und der Tragekomfort von unfassbar teuren Schuhen ist oft NICHT das, was ich erwartet habe. Wenn Schuhe einige hundert Euro kosten erwarte ich etwas außergewöhnliches. Oh ich bin so dumm, dass ich etwas erwarte für mein Geld….okay, lassen wir die Witzchen beiseite: die Qualität meiner super tollen und super erstaunlichen Isabel Marant Sandalen ist in Ordnung, aber ein Tragekomfort ist nicht existent. Weder sind die Nieten bequem zum darauf-laufen noch sind es die Riemen mit den Schmucknieten und ich meine damit nicht, dass die Schuhe zu klein sind. Nein, das ist nicht der Punkt! Die Verzierungen sind wunderschön, aber an der falschen Stelle um die Sandalen den ganzen Tag tragen zu können. Ich bin Wirtschaftswissenschaftlerin und will einen ROI haben (bedeutet Return on invest, also etwas für sein Geld zurück bekommen) in der Art, dass ich die Sachen tragen kann und damit längere Zeit glücklich bin. Das gleiche gilt für super schmale Kettenriemen bei Handtaschen (ja ich meine die Drew bag): das ist nicht komfortabel, wenn man ein Top trägt und mehr als einen Lippenstift in der Tasche transportiert. Also bitte, die Damen und Herren Designer: Ich bete eure Design an (teilweise), aber bitte verbessert die Benutzbarkeit eurer Produkte!

Fang der Woche: Die bereits erwähnten Isabel Marant Sandalen und meine Drew Tasche von Chloé. Und ich habe einen ponchoartigen Cardigan bestellt und Sandalen bei Sarenza. Beides sehr hübsch und hoffentlich bald gezeigt in einem Outfitpost diese Woche (es regnet in Strömen seit 2 Tagen ohne Unterbrechung). Und den Army Parka von Vila nicht zu vergessen, gekauft hab ich ihn bei Edited, weil er überall sonst ausverkauft war.

Look der Woche: Ich liebe beide: die schwarze Tunika und das Outfit mit dem Parka und der Gucci Dionysus Tasche, für das ich so viele Kommentare bekommen habe. Nebenbei bemerkt: Dankeschön für all eure Kommentare, das bedeutet mir wirklich viel!

Ausblick:Wir suchen gerade eine Hilfe für den Haushalt, das sind meine Termine in dieser Woche….Und es wird eine neue Kooperation geben, über die ich jetzt noch nicht mehr sagen kann, worüber ich mich aber richtig freue! Am Freitag gehen wir wieder auf ein Konzert, diesmal das einer deutschen Band und Samstag ist Abschlussklassen-Treffen. Ich bin super neugierig, weil ich die meisten Leute seit Ewigkeiten nicht gesehen habe und ein bißchen nervös (auch weil ich nicht weiß, was ich anziehen soll). Ich werde euch darüber berichten beim nächsten mal!
